UK ENVIRONMENT AGENCY SUPPORTS FRACKING

This BBC Report confirms that the UK Environment Agency chairman, Lord Smith, is supportive of the new controversial gas extraction process. However the report mentions that he believes rather onerous conditions should be imposed, including carbon capture and storage in gas power stations. This is an unproven and costly process which would make big cost increases on energy from gas.

  1. Carbon capture? This man is living in Cloud Cuckoo land. With people like this in positions of power, the further demise of the UK is inevitable.
